Smart Thermostat Installation
Installed, wired, and paired with your heating and cooling system in one visit. Our own electricians handle the wiring, so there’s no second contractor and no guesswork.
Why Installation Matters More Than the Thermostat
A smart thermostat is only as good as its install. Many New England homes were built before common wires existed, and a smart thermostat without one reboots, drops WiFi, or drains the furnace board. Our electricians run the C-wire properly instead of relying on adapters. Heat pumps add another layer: staging and balance-point settings decide whether your system runs efficiently or burns backup heat all winter. We configure those at install, not leave them at factory defaults.
One Company, Both Trades
Most thermostat installs involve two skill sets. The HVAC side knows how your furnace, boiler, or heat pump should stage. The electrical side runs wire safely and to code. We employ both, so one visit covers the wiring, the mounting, the system pairing, and a walkthrough of the app before we leave. We install ecobee, Google Nest, and Honeywell models, or the thermostat your equipment manufacturer recommends.

What Does Smart Thermostat Installation Cost?
Installation runs $600 to $1,200 for most homes, including the thermostat, wiring, and setup.
Homes without a C-wire pay toward the top of the range because running the wire takes more time. It’s worth doing right. Adapters that steal power from the furnace cause the flaky behavior people blame on the thermostat.
Multi-zone homes are quoted per thermostat.
If you’re pairing a thermostat with a new heat pump or furnace install, it’s typically included in the project quote. Ask when we price the system.
| Installed + configured | $600 - $1,200 |
| C-wire run (if needed) | Included in range |
| Additional zones same day | Lower per-unit price |
| With new system install | Ask for bundle pricing |

What Our Customers Say
Do smart thermostats really lower heating bills?
Yes, when they’re configured for your system. Schedules and occupancy sensing trim runtime, and on heat pumps the bigger savings come from correct staging so backup heat only runs when it should. Most homeowners in Somerset and Swansea see the difference on the first winter bill.
Which smart thermostat should I buy?
It depends on your equipment. ecobee and Nest both work well on standard systems. Heat pumps with backup heat need a model that handles staging properly, and boilers with zone valves have their own requirements. Tell us what you’re heating with and we’ll match the thermostat to it. Call (508) 501-7424.
My home has no C-wire. Is that a problem?
Not for us. Our electricians run a new C-wire as part of the install. It’s the difference between a thermostat that works for years and one that drops offline every week. Plenty of older homes in Fall River and New Bedford need this, and it’s built into our pricing.
How long does installation take?
About an hour for a straightforward swap. Add time for a C-wire run or a multi-zone setup. We test heating and cooling before we leave and walk you through the app so you’re not learning it alone.
Can a smart thermostat control a heat pump with oil backup?
Yes, with the right model and the right setup. Dual-fuel systems need the thermostat to decide when the heat pump runs and when the backup takes over. We set that changeover point based on your equipment and your fuel costs, not a factory default.
Which smart thermostats do you install?
We install ecobee, Google Nest, and Honeywell, or the model your equipment manufacturer recommends. Our electricians run a new C-wire when a home lacks one, and we configure heat-pump staging and walk you through the app before we leave. Call (508) 501-7424 to schedule.
